Together again.
Nothing is more satisfying for a musician than the energy that develops when he has a perfect rhythm section by his side. When this consists of very good friends, success is guaranteed. It’s not always easy to find a common way of living and thinking about music, which of course is the basis for developing the special “sound” of a band. But here it happened.
We have reached that common intention, necessary for making the recording session not only an opportunity for “playing”, but an event that has the aim of creating music.
After seven years in which we went our own ways, our reunion in my opinion was magic.
Nobody trying to prevail stylistically or technically over the others or to show his personal musical progress, but a relaxed conversation between good friends.
And what is more, everybody was just himself.
That’s the reason why these liner notes were mainly written to thank Giacomo and Aldo for their expressiveness and their splendid human support, which made this project possible.

"... the “breath” of the music on this CD quite often seems to overcome the limits of the trio, pushing beyond the limitation of sounds of the used instruments, that are nevertheless played with ease and maturity to spotlight the only desire: to play music, to narrate it in strict confidence with the listener.
The seven original compositions succeed one another as fragments of music, improvised at the time of performance in the recording studio. In fact, the tension of this work results to a great extent from alternating between narrative composure, with its roots anchored in a well defined musical world, and the intemperance of improvisation, presenting itself to us not without irony, and not without elements of poetry and pursuit..." Recorded live in a jazz-club in Berlin.
This CD is the document of a jazz concert where the musicians express themselves honestly without reserve. The result is a concert rich of colours and subtle nuances.

> IL CAPPELLO DEL FALCO (1999)
Too often the jazz and classic guitars are considered as two parallel worlds that never meet each other.
We try to change this prejudice, creating a common ground, where to walk together but each one with it's own style and musical vision.
The common ground is the improvisation, not necessarily bound to idioms, as the musical writing, not necessarily tending to determine all the possibilities of a musical idea.
That is the concept of this project, which, without the ambition to start a new trend, is only looking for a way to make music.

> WELCOME HOME (1999)
The aim of "Welcome Home" is to illustrate a particular artistic stage in the music of the trio.
Josè Davila and Filiberto Palermini have both made a major contribution, not only from a musical point of view, but also with regard to interpersonal exchange, by giving us the opportunity to experiment with various traditional ensambles within the field of jazz.
Our idea was to produce a CD which incorporates different sound solutions, which, however, all derive from the same root: the trio.
